Preserve Affordable Housing

The San Francisco Bay Area is experiencing a severe housing crisis. Much of the Section 8 housing stock is being readily depleted by competitive companies responding to the growth of wealth in the area. To add to this dilemma, federal spending for subsidized housing dropped dramatically during the 1970’s and 1980’s, the effect of which is felt severely in urban areas. The lack of affordable housing continues to be cited as the main cause of homelessness throughout the country. The Trinity Housing Foundation has joined other non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, and municipalities in exploring strategies to resolve this housing challenge. Preserving affordable housing stock can be accomplished through:

  • Acquisitions
  • Development of New Properties
  • Rehabilitation of Existing Structures
